This film poster is purposely meant to evoke an active response in the audience. Most peoples response to the film is that it is a scary horror film. Some of the factors that effect this response could be the age of the viewer. Typically the younger the viewer the more worried and nervous the audience member will be. The location that the audience are in could also affect there response to the film. If they are watching it alone inside there home it could have a bigger impact of that when they are watching it in a group in a public situation.

The film 'the cabin in the woods' is a horror film that is meant to pull on peoples emotions. The gender of the viewer could affect the way they react to the film. For example males are suppose to be masculine and strong so when they are scared by the film they do not show there emotions due to the typical stereotype of them. However if there was a women consuming the media product they are more likely to show there emotions as it is more acceptable for women to do so.

This newspaper article is trying to persuade its audience to vote for May. However it may be biased as it is trying to tell us that there will be harmful consequences on Britain if we don't. Some people may have a dominant reaction to this article and agree with everything it states about May. Therefore they will respond to the newspaper by voting for the conservatives and continue buying the magazine. If you are somebody that supports a different political party then they will therefore disagree with the newspaper and ignore it. If there was an audience member that is not educated on political views or parties they may be enticed to read the article and the outcome therefore being they chose to support the conservatives. One factor that could change the affect that it has on the audience is the age of the person consuming it. A younger child or teenager would be likely to ignore the article as they are not allowed to vote in elections so it will not interest them, however if it was an adult they are more likely to spend time reading it as they do have a say in the matter.

The daily mail is reporting on the NHS out of hours hotline. The article is however biased as they state it is in meltdown. Many people may respond differently to the article. For example the mother of the child that consequently died from the actions of the NHS may fully agree with the interpretation and the bias. Therefore she has a dominant response as she is criticising of the NHS. Furthermore somebody that works for the company may completely disagree with the arguments and points made in the article. Therefore they have an oppositional response. This is when they disagree with the message of the article completely. Another audience response could be from someone with no opinion or experience of the NHS. Therefore they would probably have a negotiated response to the article.
