In this magazine women footballers are being represented as talented and are challenging the typical stereotype. Steph Houghton in shoot magazine is said to be the City women's and England women's captain therefore she is in a position of power as women in older generations were seen as passive and below men therefore this challenges the typical stereotype. Houghton also appears before the men footballers such as Diego Costa who is well known and has been an important player for Chelsea in previous years. This could therefore show that women's football could be increasingly becoming more popular and important as she is the main star on the front of the magazine. Overall the Magazine front cover challenges normal stereotypes of women as football is seen as a mans sport and many people believe women should not play it. Therefore Steph Houghton is defying the stereotype of women and helping raise awareness for the growth of women's football.














In this magazine the women, Amy Schumer, is presented as a beautiful and gracious women. People could see this magazine as being aimed at women as the text overlapping the image is about beauty and fashion which is normally associated with women. The magazine is also challenging the typical stereotype of women as they are normally portrayed as thin and petite. However in this cover Amy Schumer is more curvy and larger than the typical women on magazine covers. Therefore she could represent powerful women and that women should be more confident in there selves instead of wanting to be like the people on the cover of magazines.

Camera work and editing: Saving Private Ryan opening scene: In the opening scene of 'Saving Private Ryan' many different camera angles and shots are used to show the brutality of the Second World War. In the opening frames of the film we see an establishing shot which shows around 6 boats carrying soldiers across the sea with a strong current. A tracking shot is used so we move with the speed boats. This allows us to experience what the soldiers are experiencing as the camera moves with the strong current and shows how the soldiers are soaked with water on their journey. When the action begins we see an over the shoulder shot from the point of view of the German soldiers waiting on the hill for the British/American soldiers to attack. This allows us to view the spacial surroundings of the action as we see that the soldiers getting out of the speedboats are at a disadvantage. Hawaii five o: 1.) How does the programme show the crime drama genre? The programme shows the crime drama by the use of Mis-en-scene and the narrative. The narrative shows the story unfolding and this particular episode follows one of the five o agents being trapped in a prison. The costumes worn by the agents portray the crime genre as they wore bullet proof vests which leads the audience to think they will be entering a crime scene.  2.) How is gender represented in the programme? In the programme from my opinion i think that gender in some ways is represented equally. One reason for this is because within the five o agents their are women officers. This challenges the typical stereotypes of women as they are normally seen as inferior therefore this is flipped and in the programme they are strong and violent.
